Camping For The First Time?

For those who haven’t ventured to the world of camping, you’re missing out on a whole new adventure and way of holidaying.  From the freedom of sleeping outdoors and gazing at the stars, to endless camp conversations by the campfire and stunning sunrises and sunsets. Camping should be at the top of your list for 2020.

Here are 4 reasons why you should go camping, and also 5 reasons why your first camping trip should be at Eden Beachfront Holiday Park.

1. Camping is physically and mentally good for you – and our holiday park has the perfect location for it!

As soon as you step outside into the fresh air, the air quality is generally cleaner. This gives your body an increased level of oxygen, where serotonin is produced. This affects your mood, social behaviour, appetite, digestion, sleep and memory. Plus being outdoors will see your vitamin D levels boosted by the sunshine!

Our holiday park is situated in a stunning valley leading down to absolute beach frontage, surrounded by lush forests, the still waters of Shadrack Creek and the ocean. Need a better excuse to get outdoors?

2. Relax and go for a digital detox – and keep busy with the ton of facilities that we have!

With most humans now spending several hours a day glued to their personal screens, going camping and ‘back to basics’ creates the perfect barrier where you can ‘switch off.’ Turn off your mobile data and fight the urge to connect to the Wi-Fi as soon as you check-in. Leave that tablet at home and fully immerse yourself to your family, new neighbours, and the beautiful environment around you. This also sets a great example for young kids on family trips.

There are plenty of activities and park facilities to keep you and your kids entertained – from tennis courts to a jumping pillow, an on-site playground and even a mini cinema! Plus, our prime location means you have access to a secluded private beach, as well as the family-friendly Shadrack Creek.

3. Ticking everything off that camping checklist. Forgot something? We have an on-site shop with the essentials.

One of the first steps after booking your camping trip is to make a list of everything you’ll need. Once you’ve decided what tent to buy and how big, double-check all equipment to make sure that everything is there and that it is all in working order. Yes, we’ve had people turn up with their tent without the poles – it happens!

If you’ve checked-in and realised you’ve forgotten something? Don’t fret. We have an on-site shop selling all the essentials, snacks and refreshments you’ll need. Don’t have what you’re looking for, ask our friendly staff who will be able to sort you out.

Our camp kitchen has a fridge and freezer, microwave, crockery, kitchen utensils, cutlery, and cookware, plus a number of BBQ facilities scattered around the park. We also have on-site laundry, a beach shower, car wash facilities and even a boat ramp 2-minutes away.
